At 730 am on Sunday July 25 members of the Howells Fire Company along with Port Jervis, Sparrowbush, Huguenot, Otisville fire companies made there way over to Port Jervis Railroad yard to participate in the Port Jervis Passenger Train Emergency Response Training seminar part 2.
Firefighters obtained some important information and had the ability to formularize themselves with many aspects of the locomotive engine, interior and exterior passenger car. Firefighters ran thru different evolutions on the smoke filled passenger car. Firefighters had to gain access and do a search and recovery of a down MTA employee victim. A second team was deployed to advance a hose line thru the passenger car.
