The Howells Fire Company took part in a Six Department drill in Otisville on Friday July 24, 2009. The simulated barn fire took place on Finchville Turnpike. Howells Engine 111 drafted from a pond off of Finchville Turnpike to supply tankers from Greenville, Cuddlebackville, Huguenot, Wurtsboro, Otisville and Howells. The tanker shuttle supplied two sets of portable tanks that were used to draft from to supply Otisville Tower Ladder 140 and Otisville Engine 142.
